Hi! I’m Gavin Boelens, a passionate audio professional in the realms of sound design, conducting, composition, and musical performance.

I specialize in creating immersive musical scores and soundscapes that elevate gameplay experiences. With a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Sound Design from DigiPen Institute of Technology and over six years of experience in game audio, I bring a versatile skill set that bridges music composition, audio implementation, and leadership.

In my career, I’ve contributed to multiple indie games, handling all audio responsibilities for two projects and collaborating on UI audio, implementation, and trailer sound for another. My original compositions have brought life to a variety of game genres, and my work was even featured live at DigiPen’s 2024 Commencement ceremony.

I’m proficient in industry-standard tools like Wwise, FMOD, Unreal Engine 5, Cubase, and Reaper. Whether it’s composing adaptive music, designing audio systems, or managing audio teams, I’m committed to crafting memorable aural experiences.

Beyond game audio, I’m a seasoned musician with 15+ years of experience as a saxophonist and a conductor, leading collegiate a cappella groups, choirs, and orchestras. I volunteer as an arranger/orchestrator & guest conductor for the Seattle Video Game Orchestra and explore new ways to connect music with interactive media.
